Also, another friend once told me, "guilt is a useless emotion," and that has always stayed with me.

haha Kyle, the day my husband spends $2000 on baseball cards would be the end of him
I"m sorry Marley... if it's any consolation, I did think about you while I was filling my cart and clicking that darn purchase button.

Kyle, my BF does have quite the collection of 1938 baseball cards. And he's down to the last few to complete the set. Several hundred dollars a piece . . . But his is an investment of sorts because the resale is high when a set is done. Can't say my closet would sell for $10,000! You are right, though. Whether it's golf or video games or online poker or fishing, men have their own expensive habits as well!

Marley - I agree that Kim should send her bottle of wine to you

Kyle - I'm not so sure -- didn't you find that properly dispensed guilt and shame worked wonders on your kids

Kim -- the fact that you got a tracking number suggests your box is coming UPS and not USPS, yes? UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays unless you paid extra for that option (ahem -- SEEMS UNLIKELY), so I think you're safe!

Sara: So true! Guilt is secret weapon of mothers everywhere.

I had no idea UPS doesn't make regular deliveries on Saturdays. I guess I've just always assumed I am always lucky to get my packages during the week
still no delivery date... but it is listed at 30 pounds.....

Whoa, 30 POUNDS?! If you can be discrete about a box that size, you are Queen Mum (About Purchases) for sure!

I may have to clear out underneath the bed.

*laughs* And don't forget about all the packing materials! Is there a dumpster nearby?

yep DL... dumpster in the vicinity
I will have all packing evidence disposed of within 5 minutes. Yep, I'm THAT good
I think the packaging would be much more apoplexy inducing than just seeing the items hanging in the closet.
And there is just no reason to upset dear hubby who is so good and kind to me

Hahaha, this thread is epically awesome.

Well I needed a good laugh tonight and this thread certainly provided more than just a few!!! As we are in the process of moving, I have not even dipped my pinky into NAS waters this year...but the good news is that in 6 days we are heading east for 5 months in NYC and I bet there are some places there where I can shop! Kim, you are a doll. Now please pass the wine.

QM - Anything arrive yet??!?! I'm on pins and needles for you!! :))))

Heeeee!

today is the big day UPS usually comes around 10ish. I'm so excited

I got my 3 packages yesterday. One was very large. Hubby didn't blink, just asked if there was anything for him in it. I'm not stretching the truth when I tell him most of it is going back. Sad but true

How exciting, Queen Mum! I'm looking forward to an awesome display of keep or return :). My SO has just joined Gilt Group, so he should be done giving me a hard time. The only thing he really can't understand is the ongoing quest for The Perfect Boot(s).

A little anxious for you, can't wait to see everything. Hope DH didn't forget his lunch or come home sick today.

My husband has wised up and added NAS to our July budget. I still had to tell him not to look at what I spent until the end of the month when the purchases/returns/exchanges all totalled out.
QueenMum, I live in the Bay Are, so you can always hole up here if you need to

haha Carole... DH is in SanFrancisco today and I"m actually meeting up with him tonight for a Giants game so I'm safe.
LPR-- it's good to know I have options
What I need to do is train the UPS guy to deliver anything from Nordies or Zappos to the neighbors.....

Been following this thread- so funny!

My hubby is quite the sport, he just brings up the boxes and does not ask, I am always saying that it is probably going back- which it often is. Nordies is always sending separate shipments and the hangers and bags- my word! Kim, you must be fast to get rid of it all so fast!

This is hilarious!

I often volunteer to do the recycling - my husband thinks I'm being nice, but really it's so he doesn't see all the boxes from things I've ordered. ;-0
