One day I hope to find my perfect red dress. In the meantime I really enjoyed blogger Mallory's favourite picks from the Fall 2012 ready-to-wear collections. I also love it that she added movie stills for extra inspiration.

I am completely in love with the color combinations and graphic black and white polka dot prints. They feel retro and modern at the same time. I am looking forward to adding a few of these pieces to my wardrobe when they become available.

I've been so excited to post this ever since I found it!! The Sartorialist better watch out because Humans of New York is in town. Simply amazing, amazing street photography -- fashion and otherwise. If you're on Facebook, the Facebook page is even better than the main page!

I particularly loved the little guy on the scooter and the lawyer and his dog.

ETA: There's a great photo of Bill Cunningham on page 2!!

Love this article about the impact that Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama have on fashion. It also quotes a study that showed that Mrs. Obama has had a $3 billion dollar effect on the fashion industry because everyone wants to buy what she's wearing. And whatever Kate wears sells out within hours. I would definitely love that Burberry trench she wore! Also, their influence is greater because they both mix high and low items that are accessible to the general public. I recently copied Mrs. Obama's outfit when she wore a blue cardigan over the Jason Wu for Target blue floral dress.
