Suz, your link makes me want to return the zara shirt and sew something similar out of the nice quality fabrics I have... of course my challenge is whether I will have the time to sew it before I tire of the top's design. Which demonstrates the lack of attention span that, I suppose, is what Zara specializes in!

Sarah: If I would knew how to sew, I bet I'd be tempted to make a lot of my clothes myself too. But as you rightly point out, that does take time. The silhouette of the Zara top seemed pretty timeless to me, FWIW, so perhaps you wouldn't tire of it so quickly after all?

Love this close examination of the components and development of gamine style. Must you really have short hair? What about Diane Keaton? Interested in the idea that the style is about freedom from convention and even from fashion but also about "playing with the boys."

I am happy to see animal print is big for fall. And what's unexpected is that the prints are very large and exaggerated.

MaryK, that is some story! Holy cow. Sounds like Neiman's is on the line for having a very generous but vague return policy. Wonder if they might crack down a bit more going forward.
