This article/video mentioned some leg baring trend options. Skirts and shorts always come to mind for summer, but I had not considered a high slit in a skirt as an option.

Ah yes, definitely something that's easier to overlook. The peek-a-boo hemline is also a less obvious option, I think.

I enjoyed Kenyatta Jones's perspective on designing her plus size clothing line, and on being a plus size person in the fashion world. She's eloquent, captivating and does not mince her words. She has no qualms about being called fat, and is pretty authentic.

I thought this cost per wear article was helpful and thought provoking. You have to figure out what price per wear you are comfortable with and how long you imagine you will keep the item but I think I'll be coming up with some guidelines for myself based on this.

What a great video, Angie. Lots of excellent points are being made. I had actually never heard of "Full Figured Fashion Week", which proves the point that plus size fashion is still being treated as the "stepchild". I'm going to check out "House of Curves" too.

That's an interesting take on the cost per wear method of thinking, Linda, thanks for the link.

This is from the be-careful-what-you-wish-for category. I always wondered how Carine Roitfeld famously carried no handbag. Well, this is one way to pull it off but sure seems like a nightmare to retrieve anything you wanted! Good for spies, I guess.
