As a mother of a 17-year-old young man, I'm constantly mortified at what many of his friends wear, not only when hanging out at my house with my son, but when they go out for dinner with their parents, on a date with their girlfriend, or even when they go for a job interview. I know we focus on female style/fashion here, but I think some of the late teen/early 20's men in the world could follow some of the advice in this column
http://www.realmenrealstyle.co.....ess-sharp/ from Real Men Real Style. A few comments I found a bit old fashioned, but overall, I thought the article was pretty spot on.
Perfect example, my son applied for a job at the new Target in our area and was called to a job fair, along with 120 other young people who had applied and made it to the first stage of interviews. My son wore his dark grey dress pants, light grey button down, tucked in with leather belt. No tie since we felt it wasn't that formal. Black leather dress shoes. And had a shower before he went. He said he was by far the most dressed up and that one fellow arrived in cut off jeans, flip flops and tee. My son made it to the second round, Mr. Cut Offs was sent home.
