Since we talk a lot about tailoring items to achieve the perfect fit, I found this discussion of alterations on Corporette quite interesting. The comments include a lot of recommendations for tailors in specific locations in the US and Canada - a wealth of information! http://corporette.com/category.....g-fashion/
I highly recommend browsing through Salvatore Ferragamo's Spring 2013 Collection because there is artistic calm amidst the chaos of these crisp outfits. No one does leather like Ferragamo
I've enjoyed reading "Building a Remixable Wardrobe" from Audrey Tom. "Part 3 ; The Importance of Colored Bottoms" points out that a collection of seven pieces will provide more different outfits if they include three tops and four bottoms rather than six tops and one bottom -- something to keep in mind for a minimal travel wardrobe.
Library Journal, a trade magazine, ran a column this week called "Sartorial Splendor: Falling into Fashion," with reviews of 6 books (both fiction and nonfiction) where fashion plays an integral role. http://reviews.libraryjournal......s-shelf-2/
I enjoyed these ramblings of Tina Gaudoin of the Wall Street Journal, especially the comments about bare faces. Like Angie, she also likes clutch bags. http://online.wsj.com/article/.....92308.html
Again, I hope that the article can be read without a subscription.
Wonderful. Thank you Ann (so fun, I have several of these title on the list for our bookstore), Joy (so far so good, I could read the entire article), and Carole.
