Currently making the blog rounds is a great scarf tying tutorial "How to Tie a Scarf: EILEEN FISHER Tips Fall 2012"

We love our scarves here on YLF, and there are some ways shown in the video that I haven't seen elsewhere before. My favorites are the "Coiled Cobra" and "Sand Dune Drape."

There was an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal about rating the sustainability of various fabrics. It remined me of Michelle's blog post on cotton. The link (I hope it works for non-subscribers) isn't exactly like the article in the paper. Be sure to click in the interactive graphics tab to get a longer list.
From the article I read, silk and polypropylene were much better choices than bamboo, wool or cotton.

I accidentally came across this article about Nordstrom/Topshop partnership. I don't know anything about Topshop but from reading the article, it sounds like this tie-in may bring some interesting new fashions to Nordstrom.

Knitwear designer's blog that shows the same design on two different body types with a different amount of ease, including negative (smaller than you). Revelation to me about why I can't end up looking like the straighter model in slouchy knits and therefore am drawn to the other style of negative ease.

I don't want to appear to be besotted by undies, but judging from the response I got to my thread 'Beneath it All', few of us seem to be fully aware of the importance of professional fitting. Yet in the UK alone more than 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra!! As the writer of this article emphasizes, this is serious, because our top-clothes will never look as good as they should, if the foundations are wrong! She also makes a startling claim: making the best of our assets by ensuring we have the very best bra helps many women to avoid surgery!! Wow!! Thought-provoking reading, written by a very honest professional, who feels her own training was too short, and suggests it was at least, in part, commercially-driven:
