Marc Jacobs' new pop-up "tweet shop" accepts social currency such as tweets and Instagram posts instead of money. Seems like a clever marketing scheme but I fail to see how this would translate into actual retail.

Suz, I was thinking of posting that Slave No More article as a link. It was
a watershed for me. I even printed it out. I rarely would do that. I am tired of
trying to figure out what my clothing might say or what it is supposed to signify
about me or what the heck I might want to communicate. I am tired of thinking
about my clothes talking. I am interested in comfort period, full stop. And that 90's minimalism is looking very good to me.

What started me on the trail of this is a line in Imogen Lamport's post about
choosing prints to disguise the tummy, that I was just reading as something about prints in the main. "Look for softer, more drapey fabrics (ones that puddle on the floor when you drop them)," Eureka. Got rid of all my fitted,
crisper button front shirts with body and structure. Maybe I want my clothes
trailing from me.

Dana - I saw that article earlier today. I still just can't wrap my head around the fact that almost nobody is even wearing socks or closed-toe shoes. It's snowing and freezing in New York right??!!
