Please post your rants and raves on this blog post

Dear Angie,
I won't comment on this one because we are in a different season, but have been making an effort to comment on blog posts since you last said you appreciated more comments. However I am often getting to them too late. eg the second blog post of the day is already up by the time I log in. I have presumed that means it is too late to comment on the first one. Is that right?

Dear sweet Anne, I have noticed your earnest efforts. You are fab. Know that it is NEVER to late too comment on a blog post. I still receive comments on posts that are 3 to 4 years old. Newbies browse through the entire site - and that means archives too. Search engines pick things up which are a couple of years old and that's important to remember. So all comments posted at any time are valuable. Does that make sense?

The blog itself is the showpiece of this site and it needs to look 150% all the time. That's why comments on the blog posts are vital.

Angie, sorry--I haven't been commenting on the blog posts lately because I read them on my shuttle ride to work, usually cackle or nod my head vigorously in agreement, but arrive at work before I have time to tap out comments on my BlackBerry. By the time I get home in the evening, there are usually at least 50 comments, so I had assumed after that many comments, you've probably heard enough and have moved on to working on the rest of the week's posts. I will make more of an effort to chime in on the blog posts in the future.

Frances, you just made my day with the visual of your cackles on the shuttle ride to work. That's KILLER. Thank you for reading my posts ,and it's totally understandable that the timing is off for you to post a comment. But never think that it's too late to comment or that there are too many comments. Your comment will always be appreciated if you can spare a moment to post.

Kim, you are kind-hearted and I appreciate that enormously. You certianly don't need to comment if you have nothing to say, but an opinion opposite to mine is always welcome as long as it's respectful and tactful. I only know you to be like that :0)

I used to be a fairly silent blog reader...until I got a blog of my own and realized how demoralizing it can be to write posts that receive no feedback. All the stats in the world don't make up for comments. They're the life blood of a blog and provide no end of motivation and satisfaction to the writer. They also enhance the experience for newcomers, since they often provide an interesting perspective, comic relief, or just a general indicator of the pulse of the blog/community in question. Ever since starting my own, I've really made an effort to up my game when it comes to leaving comments for you, Angie. And I'll keep doing so.

Oh, gosh, Angie, I try try try to comment on every one! Sometimes my comments are short as I'm on my iPhone. I just condense my normally long-winded thoughts! Maybe I will switch up my blog reading for the time I'm on my computer.
I didn't know that you liked comments on old posts--I've done a ton of back-reading and am really enjoying those posts, as well.

Sorry Angie! I am usually great about commenting on the blog but I have had a busy couple of weeks. Things should be getting back to normal soon though! I love the blog. I've been reading via my Blackberry this past week (didn't have internet access) but commenting from my mobile device isn't that easy. So even if I don't always comment, I *always* read!

Yeah, but due to the time difference I often see the blog when there have already been a lot opinions voiced, and sometimes it seems silly to repeat what has already been said.
