I do not possess an item of clothing that I do not like very much and never restrain from acquiring any that I see and like.

Plus, I'm very pragmatic, completely weather-sensitive and highly alert to how something moves, how I move within it. So I loved this article about dressing for heavy gardening work by a reputed British gardener. I congratulate myself when I take out the trash in a light rain.

Vildy - I love Monty Don's gardening shows, and really enjoyed this, thanks.

Nuancedream - The self-care post is wonderful (am saving it for future reference), but as we focus mainly on fashion-related stories for the Link Love posts, I'll skip that one, and only use the Victoria Beckham article for Thursday's post. And I too hope that her business will survive.

It is so relevant to our forum posts about not shopping for a year...and I like that she expresses more than one set of feelings and emotions about this. Clothes are not just utilitarian -- they are also means of self-expression, and it is very easy for some men (whose wives purchase their clothes) to wax smug about not shopping when the pressures on women are entirely different. https://www.theguardian.com/fa.....lothes?CMP
