Wakanda forever!! I haven't seen the film yet, but I expect to be blown away. Ruth Carter will likely need to make room on her mantle for another Oscar for Best Costume Design.

I not been to a movie in years. Nothing looks new to a 76 year old. We are not interested in pop culture in the 70's 80's or 90's as we were busy raising small children.

This YouTube video gave me a lot to think about

Are the Victorians responsible for fast fashion. “fast fashion is not a flash in the pan phenomenon of the 2020s”. Basically lays out the changes that happened in the Victorian age vis-à-vis technology, media and society and finds Parallels between then and now. Also talks about how ready to wear started as a way to improve society and add convenience, showing as always that there are unexpected and unintended consequences. As i said it gave me a lot to think about, and I really need to go back and rewatch and do some additional reading, but thought I’d share it here because I know so many others are interested in this topic.
