Vildy, yes it's true ... I think for me when I take inspiration from, say, Audrey Hepburn, it's more to do so in an updated way, not necessarily to replicate the look. I think what's so amazing about the examples given is that their looks are still relevant all these years later ... indicating that the pieces they gravitate to, in their modern equivalent, might just have a similar staying power vs. trends and fads ... at least that how I took it!
I really like Alyssa Beltempo; she's a Toronto girl! I do think she purchases quite a bit though, albeit second hand a lot; I'd love to see more outfit repeating from her ... but she has some great styling tips and tricks for sure and always looks elegant yet modern.
