ST, wow, ow! I hope my son's attitude is common among his age group and spreads. He just showed me a picture of Zendeya with heavy “smoky eye” makeup, eyeliner extending far beyond the corners of her eyes, and asked me what the point was. A couple minutes later he showed me a picture of her still with some make-up, but much less of it, there to enhance her looks rather than call attention to itself, and said how much nicer that looks. He’s done this a few times recently, is genuinely trying to figure out why women wear it.
But then again, maybe he’s not so revolutionary. I remember a college boyfriend commenting that one would need a paint scraper to get close to someone we knew who consistently wore foundation.
Kkards, I have bizarrely opposed reactions to Laura Ashley’s dresses (live ‘em) and interior decor (ack! I’m drowning!)! I never knew about the woman of that name, or what happened to her. The re-interpreters near the end of the article are who I want to look I to now. Thanks for posting!
