I first heard about revenge shopping when China recovered from the pandemic & I knew it would happen here. I think the article attempts to inject false optimism. It’s still a culture of binge & purge overconsumption here with the pandemic as the latest rationalization. People did get dressed before 2020.
Nothing has changed.
