Inge, I suppose a light beige leather shoulder bag in the style of vintage Bonnie Cashin (I think it was) body bag that's supposed to mold softly to your hip. Came out great. I think I was inspired by an older post in the blog Space Between My Peers.
I've only ruined - decades ago - three wool jersey dresses with a waist seam and bias skirt. Ooops. I was so confident or oblivious that I didn't think to wash only one and then evaluate and therefore save the other two.
The only things, then, that shouldn't be washed, IMO, are bias items, including silk ties where the dyes aren't colorfast, and properly made custom tailored suits, usually men's) where all the shaping comes from hand sculpting it in through padding stitches. I hear you can ruin the shape of these through ordinary pressing, too and that they need specialist cleaners who understand what they're dealing with.
