I agree 426 sounds like a lot, but my understanding is that he’s including everything , socks, uw. If a person counts every “ cloth” and wearable item ( and footwear) including socks , exercise, pj, casual , lounge, gear, ties/scarves, bags, belts, the wardrobe numbers for many would be a lot higher than generally reported. And especially if one wears a business formal wardrobe daily , does special sports, and has 4 seasons.
So I like the idea of applying the analyses ( thematically- I don’t think I will do a spreadsheet) to all categories , even though some of them don’t cost as much or take up as much room. For example, I’m not limited to weekly laundry and have more time now, plus “ alternatives “ to being sure I can find matching black work socks or different tights in a big hurry,
