Still recovering from the tough decision, but they did not work. And back they went.

Gorgeous color, excellent firm fabric still with enough elastane to allow me comfortable cycling, they were LONG enough, they were even a bit too big in the waist, but that was the problem too - I knew they would overstretch too soon and wouldn't look good. Plus, the rise might be a problem if I size down (stalking the website to see if smaller size in my length will reappear), and they are straight - not skinny style.

Funnily, that little bit of fabric around the calf and ankle that makes the difference between skinny and straight made such a big difference on me - straights (especially in such bright color) look awful on my body. I've tried pegging them and it was much better when I made them look like skinnies, so that problem could have been fixed with the sewing machine, but the others not.

I've stopped being surprised when blog posts are very timely and relevant for me, it happens all the time, and today's one clearly illustrated why the gorgeous long rich red jeans had to go back - I don't want to compromise, I want happy clothes.
