Please help...which size should I get?

Sorry I don't have any pictures of me with it on, but this vest that I've been wanting finally went on sale:

XS is a nice close fit, but it's not comfortable to close the buttons. S is good for button closure, but is a little bit boxy.

Those who own cropped jackets/vests, do you usually wear it open or closed?

It's FINAL sale so no returns. My local store only has one left in Large. I got to decide this carefully.

Do you LIKE doing boxy? From what I recall of your WIWs, I think you'll be happier with the shapelier version, even if you don't button.

I bought my denim vest not so long ago, but I've only worn it open so far. I would be able to button it up, but I don't like the way that looks.

I bought that same vest in Small, which fit me the same way the XS fit you. I figured I would wear it open more often and I preferred how the smaller size looked open.

Generally I like to be able to button anything that is supposed to button.

On the other hand, I can't really imagine ever wearing this actually buttoned, so I think I'd go for the slimmer fit as long as it's comfortable unbuttoned.

I'd go with the slimmer version and wear it unbuttoned! Like the same way you'd wear a jean jacket.

I have a denim sleeveless vest from the Gap and never close it. Go with the slimmer version.

I agree that going with the slimmer one is preferred. I can't see buttoning it.

I'd go for the smaller size and don't button it. You'll get the most figure flattery that way I think. (Think white over the mid-section, lol!) If it were dark it would be a different story.

Since you will likely wear this in the heat (like I did today) I cant imagine you will want it buttoned up! If you do want to button then wear a white jean jacket cause you'll want the sleeves too for the cold! LOL

I have to say I *love* my denim vest in white! It goes with so many things I'm afraid everyone is going to think I don't own anything else! LOL It makes a great 3rd piece even with it's 90 degrees (like it was today here.)

I would bet you are an XS as I have this in a small. Mine fits fine buttoned up, but I have actually worn it as a sleeveless top.
