I bought two pairs of booties, Lucky Brand Basel Booties in Toffee, and Timberland Savin Hill Chelsea Boots in Cognac. I went to Dillards to try the Sam Edelman Petty that I love so much. They showed a Cognac version on their website.

Alas, not only did our local Dillards not have the Cognac version in stock, but the taupe ones they had did not fit very well. I was very disappointed. However they had a similar bootie, the Lucky Brand Basel. It felt better.

Later I found a Chelsea style boot on Sierra Trading Post's website, Timberland Savin Hill Chelsea boot. I got them today. They feel good, but they might have the flowerpot syndrome. Do you think they look too bad?

So my questions:

1) Are these booties too similar in function? Both are short, and are a similar color. The Lucky Brand seems a little dressier, though.

2) Does the Timberland look okay on my foot and leg or does it look like a flowerpot? Sorry for the low quality picture. My mirror doesn't have good lighting.

3) How should these booties be styled? What kind of pants should I wear with them?

4) Do you think I should keep both of them? If not, which should I keep?
