Please help- want a navy crossbody bag

I'd like to enlist the help of all the handbag lovin' ladies. I am searching for a navy cross body bag that isn't too casual or too prissy. I need it to work equally well with weekend wear and workweek wear.

Here's a photo of one I'm considering by Fossil. What do you think of this one? Has anyone spotted any other good ones I should consider?

A lot of ladies at work also like their Coach bags; and they make a few cross-bodies as well.

That's gorgeous. I spied a navy hobo style bag with a cross body strap at TJMaxx the other day. It was pleather and around $30. Tempting!

I like that one a lot. My mom actually has it in black and the navy looks great. I'm partial to fossil bags.

How big is it? I'd love one like this, too, but I fear I wouldn't have enough room for my stuff. My current crossbody is stuffed too full...sigh....

This is a super bag! It *is* 100% casual, just in case you thought otherwise. That might not be a problem at all though.

Exactly. The integrity of the leather too.

When Kate Spade top stitches her bags, they don't look nearly as casual because the leather is very dressy.

lyn*, sarah, and Isabel I don't own one yet, but I've admired Fossil's bags in the stores for a while. The leather is sooo soft, and they seem really well made. I didn't have much luck on Coach's website, so maybe I should visit a store.

clearlyclaire, my local TJMaxx has a great bag selection but no navy crossybodies : (

suz, this particular one is 9.5"H x 2.75"W x 9"H. How does that compare to the size of your current bag?

Angie, thanks for confirming my suspicions that this bag leaned more toward casual. I've second guessed it more than once for that very reason, but I do love how the silhouette is different from everything else I currently own.

I have snuck away from the wards to pet my bag before. Tee hee. The leather is so beautiful.

My sister's Coach has topstitching, and like Angie says, it looks more formal. I usually pair my Fossil with a more professional wardrobe, so it's just a bit of fun and RATE

Thanks rosee for reminding me to check ebay. Somehow I always forget to look there. That liquid patent bag is really something!

And lyn* I pet my softer handbags, too. Lately I've been hugging my Christmas bag and taking deep breaths to inhale the new leather smell (giggle) it's intoxicating.
