I finally found sandals that came close to what I am searching for. Of course they are sold out in my size in all colors.

Has anyone seen anything similar? Colorwise, I'll take gold, silver, white/cream, pewter, or bronze. Basically any metallic color, or white. What I like about them is the fact that the straps aren't too skinny and the soles are clean and modern and not clunky or frumpy.

I'm getting desperate. There is nothing on Endless, Zappos, Piperlime, or 6pm Styles are just getting strappier and strappier. Why is it that the simplest designs are the hardest to find?!

Urban Outfitters has a pair with a very similar upper... but a heavy platform. I definitely see what you mean about these being hard to find. =(

Those are a pricey and still not quite as simple as I'm looking for, C1. But they certainly are pretty.

Maya I don't have any recommendations, but I wanted to say I LOVE the sandals you've linked to. They are very sleek looking. They definitely have the 'cool' factor, to me.

Those are very nice and simple summer sandals. They remind me of the old Salt Water sandals which were popular in the 80's.

I have no idea if my feet would stand them, Angie. I can only tell once I try them on. I have been pleasantly surprised in the past, so I never say never.

I went to Topshop today to see if they had the ones I liked in stock. They only had them in the tan, but it's just as well because they were cheaply made and had no cushioning whatsoever. It was like walking on cardboard. They were the kind of shoes that were so cheap that they didn't even come in a box, just tied together and hung on a rack.

Most of the styles posted here are too chunky in the sole and casual. I am going for a more sleek look. Angie, those Borns definitely come close. I am going to give them a try. Are they TTS?

I think I fitted on a size 6, so maybe they run large? Not sure. But your foot is broader than mine so maybe try a 6.5? Very cushioning and very soft leather.

The Zappos reviews seem to indicate that they run wide. There are no half sizes so I will try 6 and report back.

Do you specifically want flats? I saw some shoes with very, very similar simple flat straps today, but they're a wedge sandal.

I think, unfortunately, you're after a minimalist look to the sole as well as the straps (re "too chunky in the sole"), which is extremely hard to find in a shoe that also has padding/cushioning on the sole. I think you're mostly going to find flat-pancake-soled miserably-uncomfortable shoes. Maybe Matt Bernson sandals might work?
