Please help me decide!!

YLFabbers,
I picked up these scarves at Nordstrom back in the summer for gifting and want to tuck one in my daughter's and daughter-in-love's Christmas package.
My dilemma: daughter has light brown hair with blonde highlights, blue eyes and daughter-in-love has very dark brown hair, brown eyes. Who gets which color? I don't have a clue.
If the photo isn't clear, they all have a shimmer, and one is tan, one is charcoal and one is teal.

I vote tan for the blonde highlights, and teal for the brunette. They are all lovely!

Thanks Atlantia, Cciele and Thistle...this helps me a lot to get the same opinion from you all, since the SA told me that the blonde could not wear the tan, but the brunette should.

I would say for the tan, it really depends more on skin tone and whether it is tan vs. taupe. In the photo it appears taupe to me. That works with cooler toned skins. So would the grey. The teal would look great on both of them!

Suz, I believe you're spot on -- the color IS taupe and not tan! I almost forgot that you are Queen of Taupe and you should know that color! Enlighten me though about a cooler skin tone? Uh oh, if the teal would look good on both, I may just have to keep that one to ward off any squabbling... .)

I vote teal for your daughter and the darkest one for your DIL. I think it would be a shame not to play up your daughter's eye color.

DIL hair color is similar to your pic. Would you wear the charcoal color easier than the taupe?
Now I'm totally confused -- maybe I won't wrap and just ask them to pick which one they want!

Do either of them tend to wear a defined color palette? You could pick the one that would go with their clothes and hope they know which colors suit them.

I have light brown hair with highlights and tan would look horrible on me. I think it totally depends on skin tone. For a safe bet, go with the charcoal or teal for your daughter.

Amy, your hair color looks much like my daughters and after seeing your comment, I'm off to get the taupe scarf out of her gift bag. Think the charcoal will work better for her. Thanks!
