Please help me choose some new reading glasses

Hello there! I am in need of some new frames for my reading glasses and am in the initial stages of searching for the perfect pair. I used a post by Angie from 2017 for some excellent guidelines to help me out. This is my first time posting photos which I am not entirely comfortable with.
Photos one and four and six are the same pair from different angles. Photos two, three, and five are same pair from different angles. Mask came down when store emptied out and given permission by store owner. Frowning face not deliberate. Honesty desired. Perhaps the angle of the photos is not ideal for truly showing off the frames but worth a try to collect your thoughts.

I prefer the size, fit, and pattern of the #2 pair - however the disparity in the distribution of the pattern throws me off. The colour(s) in the first pair is nice, but I think the frame is too thin and the glasses themselves too large.

Shopping for glasses is a nightmare. After trying on, like, 20 pair, my current frames were actually found by a YLF forum member!

Runcarla! Terrific feedback. Thanks for the comments about the colour differences in the frames of #2. Yes. So tough to feel confident choosing glasses in a mask and to focus on try-ons while also maintaining distance. Your kind compliment means a lot.

Hi there. I prefer the pair in pics one, four and six. The larger lens compliments your eyes. The shape of the frames are youthful. Hope this helps. Good luck with your search!

Oh, and your compliment makes me smile, Angie. at least something in our faces can be shown off while wearing a mask! I do love watching others smile with their eyes when I am out and about.

I am with Nikki above. I do like the colours of the other ( pic 2) with your eyes but feel overall that the pic 1 pair suits your face more. I went through this last December/January and forum feedback was helpful, but in the end I got the forum’s second choice as it felt more like me, plus my family liked them better and they were cheaper as well. 11 months down the track I am still very happy but I empathise!

I like the first pair better - something about the colors of a second pair feels a bit too much ( maybe I'm wrong about that ).
Your eyes are very pretty and the skin looks great!

I like both frames on you. You have beautiful eyes and an oval face, so both shapes work. To me #1 is more classic, #2 a bit more casual and lively. Personally I prefer the more uniform frame in #1, especially in #6 when you are not wearing a mask, which hopefully will be over soon. Both frames are lovely soft colours and look great with your eyes and necklace. Having said that, with readers they tend to be worn less frequently than normal specs, so you have a bit more fun with the frame. Is there one that you are drawn to more than the other?

I recently had eye surgery to correct my vey bad eyesight and now wear readers. After years of being restricted with the sort of glasses I could wear due to my prescription, I chose a complete opposite type of frame for my readers, being a large square shaped metal frame and I love them.

Slim Cat - thank you for your observations and compliments. The first pair is definitely more conservative and the second pair has more oomph as far as impact goes. So, it makes sense that it could be perceived as too much.

Bijou - I like the descriptors you’ve given and agree with them - #1 - more classic and #2 - more casual and lively. Your keen observations are impressive - you noticed my necklace! Wow. and you’re right - when exclusively used for readers, I can have more fun with them. I am drawn to number 2 but I like both. I think all of this feedback and especially Runcarla’s picking up on the lack of uniformity in the pattern on the frames from the right to the left prompts me to keep these in mind but to perhaps continue my search. Angie’s 2017 post encourages me to be patient and search widely and open mindedly. So, I will persist without forgetting Bout this valuable feedback and success with these two choices. I am happy the feedback wasn’t indicating that my instincts were way off. That’s a terrific guidepost for me. THANK YOU!!!

A tough choice! I find #5 more stylish and #6 friendlier. The thing about #6 is that friendlier can sometimes mean more dismissible, so I sort of feel it depends on whether you like attention...

They both look good on you. I like both, but maybe the stripey pair a bit more. I think reading glasses can be more fun because we’re not wearing them all the time in all situations, like regular glasses.

Like #2 -trendy, great contrast with your face/hair, and with a bit of color matching your eyes-perfect! - however like Carla (and I so hate when this happens for me, too) the disparity in the distribution of the pattern throws me off...could they order you another pair of the same?

&Can you give us a link, or brand name? Love them!

Thanks Rachy, Gigi, Jaileen and Lyn! They are a Tiffany (#1) and a Prada Pair (#2). I was wondering if perhaps there may be another pair without such a pattern disparity inherent. Worth checking! Everyone’s support has bern outstanding!!! Thank you

I like 2 most too, but agree about the pattern. The big bit of white on the bottom is throwing me. Definitely worth it to see if you can find same with a different pattern placement, cause the colors are great on you!

I empathise with you - I can only tolerate shopping for my prescription glasses every few years at most (when going in for a checkup anyway), because it takes me so long to settle on a pair lol.

I prefer the first pair. I agree that the overall effect is quieter & more classic, but I also feel that suits your colouring more (the bold pattern on #2 isn't a bad thing per se, but I find myself focusing on the black/ dark brown in that print more since your natural colouring is more on the light side). I suppose it also depends on whether you want something you can more easily match to your clothing (I suppose black would be easier, although less subdued, if you like to wear a lot of statement pieces other than your glasses) or whether you're not so bothered because they're reading glasses.
