Playing with skirts does this work?

Ok took these photos a few weeks ago playing with my maxi skirt at different lengths and casual/work.

1-3 & 7 Casual - with black singlet & grey/chiffon cardi,purple cardi & with scarf, with denim jacket & scarf
5-6 Work wear with boots - do the boots work, does the skirt work? Would it look better with opaque tights and heels.

Help - skirts are not my thing.

I think it works with the boots in 5 and 6. Is 4 the same as 5 just different angles?
Maxi is not my favorite but it seems to work for me in 7 with the sandal. I think 2 is nice - a column of tonal dressing with a pop of color.
Sorry I can't help more - I am trying to convince myself to wear skirts more - not my thing anymore either!

Hi thanks Christieanne. Yes 4 & 5 are same just a different angle to show the boots,

I'm comfortable with the maxi look - appeals to my boho side but the midi look is more work appropriate and that is way outside my comfit zone.

I love them ALL. I think you look fabulous in skirts. It's that gorgeous waist and torso thing!

Is it the same skirt you are playing with? Or two different ones?

I think you look especially chic in maxi skirts. For maxi skirts to work, the focus needs to be on the waist and abs. So that part needs to be fitted, to compensate for the volume on bottom. Which you have done in these pictures.

ETA -- My favorites are 2, 3 and 7. Those are really sharp.

Kiwichic you so rock a maxi. I am not generally a lover of maxi skirts (for me) but you look fantastic. I like the proportions and the tops you have styled with it.

I also like the midi skirt. Again the outfits look well balanced and super stylish.

You look great in skirts.

Ok am going to venture out in public today in maxi skirt will post seperately. Have just purchased some opaque tights so if I get a chance will also play with the pencil skirt I bought last month but have been too chicken to wear.

The skirt I am wearing above is one skirt worn as a maxi then rolled at the waist to wear as a midi.

I'm a lover of long midis, but not usually maxis. The simple black, however, works really nicely in your wardrobe here. I'm not sure about the propoertions in #1, I think it's working better with shorter tops and jackets. Excellent job with remixing, KC! You look beautiful. Can't wait to see the pencil skirt!

I love the maxi with sandals! You totally rock that look with your boho style persona! It's so funny to hear you say you've been chicken to wear a pencil skirt (but are brave enough to wear a maxi)!
