For kicks, here are some of the questions I asked after it came up with my color season:
1. How can I tell if I better suit light or cool summer colors based on my photo?
In response, it explained that my lightness dominates over softness or coolness, although I am also very cool.
2. What color are my eyes. Answer is soft, cool green with hint of grey, often called grey-green.
3. What percentage of the population has this eye color? Answer, less than 1%, it’s a very rare eye color.
4. Is my skin neutral, warm or cool? Answer, cool, pinkish, rosy and slightly bluish
5. Do I have any olive tone in my skin? Answer, no.
6. What might make my skin appear sallow/yellow when it’s cool? Answer: warm toned clothes, wrong foundation or makeup, indoor lighting especially warm light bulbs, skin products with yellowing tints
7. What are my best greens? Are greens too warm for me? Answer, cool greens like sage, mint, sea foam, dusty teal, soft jade, blue spruce are best. Stay away from olive, lime green, chartreuse, Kelly green, moss or fern green, avocado.
8. Can I wear navy? Answer, soft cool navy that is not dark or harsh, slate navy, dusty indigo. Avoid inky navy and midnight blue, and avoid warm navy.
9. Why do blues look so much better than greens even when the greens are cool? Answer: Cool blues mirror the colors already in your features and enhance your natural contrast without overpowering you. Blue reflects light tones upwards onto your face. Blues make your skin look brighter and more even. Blues balance redness or sallowness. Many greens, even cool ones, have a trace of yellow, and yellow is the opposite of what works best on your skin.
10. Which reds and pinks are best given my photo? (I need to ask this again because the answer was lost when the chat glitched and I forgot to go back)
11. Can I wear yellow, orange or brown? (Answer, summary…cool taupe and mushroom (grey-brown))
12. Can I wear any colors from the light spring color palette? Answer, yes, robins egg, cool mint, watermelon pink, iced peach, light cantaloupe (careful, works only if softened with white so it leans creamsicle), light warm grey, soft shell white
13. What are my best colors based on my photo and which palette do they come from. Light or cool summer. Answer, a list of colors which labels the colors as either light summer, cool summer or shared by both palettes.
14. Which 6 colors and 3 neutrals would be my very best for creating a wardrobe capsule. Answer, powder blue, periwinkle, icy pink, dusty mauve, dusty teal, soft plum, dove grey, pearl/soft white, cool taupe.
15. What are my two very best colors based on my photo: Answer, 1. Icy pink 2. Icy blue
Icy pink is not a color I wear often, although I do have one top looks like the color ChatGPT references, and I call it orchid, and wear it all the time. Ice blue, is definitely one of my favorite colors.
Also, my eyes change color depending on what I am wearing and you can easily see this in the color drape photos below. It’s the exact same photo in each.
