My mom decided to go to a function with my dad tonight (which is a major thing for her). She's lost 40+ pounds since last year and has been living in comfort clothes for the last 7 months so she felt like she couldn't go since she had nothing to wear. Surprisingly, she accepted when I offered to put an outfit together for her out of my closet. She was afraid she would look too young, but I have a classic bend to some of my wardrobe pieces and was able to put together an outfit that was approved by both my mom and dad!

I'll try to get her to let me take a picture but for now, I'll have to describe it with words. I had some black dress slacks that are too short for me but worked great for her that she will wear with a denim AT blazer and a white camisole. I even convinced her to wear one of my necklaces (not a chunky one, more dainty). I'm also lending her a red faux crocodile clutch. I'm so excited that she's taken this step!
