Transition seasons are always a challenge for me. I so often pick clothes that makes me feel too cold or too hot. Springs are short here and sometimes it feels like I’m jumping from a puffer into a t-shirt.
So, not inspired.
My footwear choices are also not exciting. This winter is mild and I’m wearing mostly my sneakers that I should’ve packed away at the end of November. My injured ankle also prevented me from wearing some of my boots. So, I wore from November to now my black suede Rag & Bone, beige New Balance 530 sneakers and occasionally Chelsea boots. Needed my winter Converse only a handful of times.
Although I’m tired of these sneakers, I will continue wearing them and will add my old oxfords once it warms up.
I’m trying to solve a problem of being cold in thin jackets in the mornings and added a puffer vest. It’s OK on its own, not terribly exciting but easily packed in a bag if it feels warmer, also versatile or so I hope.
Another addition is an oversized trench. I do have a classic trench but it’s not roomy enough for extra layers. This one allows me to wear a vest or a sweatshirt underneath. Both items came from Uniqlo.
I bought another pair of thin wool dress pants (COS). Now I have 3 pairs of woven pants for transitional seasons. The rest is denim and I think that’s plenty.
Also, replaced old white sneakers that don’t fit anymore, the new pair might be more summery but it will do for now.
I also bought a few things for my orange collection. But it’s a different topic. I think of adding some of them to my some of the spring outfits but should try it first. My spring color story is navy, olive and black with accents in white and possibly orange.

Hope you, too will share your plans for spring like some of us.
