Taking a beat from shopping abd doing fits try-outs

General thoughts for feedback:

I am simultaneously besotted and slightly repulsed by the Eddie Munster boots (Karen millen )

The green plaid sweater (mango) seems larger in the photos than irl. Should I get it nipped in the waist? Is this even possible with poly knit?

The dress (Stella McCartney via TRR) has a very assertive front ruffle. Opinions? Also options for winterizing?

I kinda love the boots, esp with the hoodie (actually I like all the ways you’ve shown them). I think the thing about the green sweater after the boots and Stella dress is that it reads so… meek. As do the clogs. But the sweater is nice as-is with the boots.

The Stella dress is a hard one for me: it really is an assertive dress. I’d wear it in a heartbeat, but I don’t think I’d get far from home because I don’t think the ruffle will fit well under a coat…

I like the stripe sweater and black pants. You could put a longer sweater under the dress to winterize it. I often do that with my summer dresses and wear tights.
I prefer the boots with jeans. I do like the plaid coat and it goes great with jeans. I like the camel hoodie. I wonder if the jacket in 8/9 would look better with a dress as far as proportions go. Have you tried it with the dress?

I think the boots are a little too tall for you. They hit in a weird spot on your leg. Might be something acobbler could adjust, though. They look good colorwise with these outfits.

Agree with Rachy, the boots look great especially with the hoodie.

The green sweater looks like a good size on you to my eye. I don’t think it needs alterations.

Love the dress! Maybe a thin mesh top under or a white top to winterize?

LOVE the boots for you. You have a big personality, and wear them with panache! Magic black platform bookending. GOOD fit! Fab match with the hoodie! Are they comfy?

Like the green plaid sweater coat as is. No need to alter.

As for winterizing the dress: hosiery, layer a T-neck underneath, wear a big blanket wrap or ruana over the top.

The boots are a statement, but i like the statement they are making…especially in #5 where they make a classic outfit really shine and pull it fashion forward (at least i think so) and they take the hoodie in #10 way beyond athleisure
and definitely try a turtle neck under the dress, it seems to be a “thing” right now.

I kinda love the boots and especially like the contrast with the lady like jacket in #5 and with the tops in #4 and #10. I also like the dress and agree that a layer underneath the dress is the way to go.

I would be curious to see those boots with some dresses or skirts with frills or other colors. Really lean into that “jolie -laide”!

These all look great, I particularly love the boots which give a high fashion look to all your combinations. The caramel colour makes them less heavy looking than black. Whenever I see your posts it always looks like you have so much fun with fashion, creating unique and very coherent looks.

Do you have a poncho or cape to layer over the dress? Otherwise, you'll probably need to layer under.

I like everything! 7 and 10 are super fab to me. The boots look cool and stylish on you. I like the plaid coat-sweater and wouldn't alter it. I had the same thought as others with the dress--layer a close-fitting sweater under it, like a ribbed turtleneck. The dress fabric looks thick, like it would go well with a substantial underlayer. I really like the jacket in 8-9. Would it work over the outfit in 1?

For the Stella dress - maybe layer a striped long sleeve top ("go big or go home!"), or a sheer sleeved top in the dark blue (more conservative I guess).
