Plaid shirt - which colour

A plaid shirt has been on my mind for almost one year. Now that I have lots of closet space due to the 90% purge I am considering adding one.
These are from LLBean and are 100% cotton. It would mean ordering across the border but I am ok with that.
Does anyone have experience with their plaid shirts?
Which of these 2 colours should I take?

I think I prefer the darker blue one. Which one do you think will work better in your wardrobe?

Thanks Ladies - both colours would work well in my sparse wardrobe. I agree on the try on - risky for me to order untried because I will have shipping and duty. I could try to continue looking here but I haven't found any yet that are not mostly polyester.

They are both very nice. If your coloring is dominantly warm, I think teal, but if it's cool, I think blue is best.

Thanks Ingunn. How does one know about colouring? I am clueless. I have blue/grey eyes, light blond hair, am fair skinned.

Glory, considering your concerns about shipping and duty, I have to say that I noticed these shirts have the straight hem that has been bothering a few YLFers recently. Just wanted to mention that in case it might be a factor...

Both colors are great, but I think I prefer the dark blue for fall/winter. What fits in best with your wardrobe?

I like the teal, actually. But either of those blues would work for me, and I have cool colouring, Glory.

I *think* from the pictures we have seen that you do, as well, but I might be wrong.

How you tell? There are a bunch of suggestions on the internet. One example: http://www.bellasugar.com/Warm.....iz-1843402

For me the easiest test is the yellow/ blue test. Put something blue near your make-up-less face. Then try something yellow. Which looks better?

Another test: salmon pink or coral vs. true pink. Which suits you more?

Liz this is an excellent point and I didn't notice it. I think I will resume my search and factor in a rounded hem line because it is much more flattering on me.
Stacey, thanks - I think either would go as I am just building my wardrobe at the moment.
Suz - thanks for the test - my colouring is very similar to yours. The blue yellow test is easy and the answer is def blue in my case

I have this top, and it's very soft and cute. I believe there is a blue one as well.
