The YLF veterans know that I've been on field trips to Italy three times already. I've just got green light for the fourth time. We're going to Rome next year in February! The trip will be Sunday til Friday, but there's an option of taking a flight back on Sunday instead for the same price. I talked with a friend and we'd love to jump at the chance for more sightseeing time. We will be two people (maybe a group of three). We could stay for two further nights in the place where we are staying with the group, which would be around 45€ per person and night in a double room. Or we could organize something on our own.

Now my question is, do you have any recommendations where to stay for two nights? And do you have any idea whether it's realistic to try to find another place which is less expensive or costs the same?
