I am on a bit of a pink or maybe red pants line of thought. I tried these Madewell pants (woot for wide crop) but the destroyed knees are a bit too much. Others on my radar but not actually purchased are also in finds.

What colors would you wear with such pants, other than white or cream?

I have some coral ones from Gap that I love. They play well with all shades of blue, white, cream and yellow. I especially like to wear them with blue/white patterns and a denim jacket.

I like a column of color because I'm short. I'd look for more of a pink that blends with the pants. I also like navy, medium or light browns/taupes, mint green, oatmeal and baby blue.

I have been thinking about pink pants - I just added a new chocolate and pink tweed top....

So chocolate brown, khaki, blues, charcoal grey would be my suggestions.

The first ones remind me of very faded Breton red chinos like J Crew used to sell in the 90s. I spent a summer on the coast of Brittany around then, and the local sailing folks really did wear that color a lot - and the sails were dark red, too. I think it's the origin of pink as a preppy color, maybe.

i own an old pair of madewell pants in a light peachy pink color....no surprise, i love them with navy, they also play really well with black. (i know not a color that reads spring/summer, but i wear it year round)

I have a blush pair of J Crew Teddies from last summer, and found them so much more versatile then originally expected. Beside white, I wore them with black, navy, olive and greys, as well as burgundy, tomato, light/mid blue.

I want to love those Madewell jeans as well, but too destroyed for my taste. That whole collection is a really great spring palette, though.

Like greyscale, these colors do make me think of Nantucket reds/Breton chinos. Gives off a very beachy-chic nautical vibe.

J Crew also has their boyfriend chinos in a nice mauve-y blush. I would probably own these, but tried a different color last year and the fit is no good on me (they're too slim through the thighs).

I have a couple pairs of blush pants. I wear them with grey, black, white, navy, and burgundy. I don't like them with other pastels and I feel I end up looking like an easter egg. That's just personal preference though.
