Inge's link love featuring the color pink was right on target for me. I love pink dresses and accessories. I have a particular fondness for a particular shade of pink that is usually hard to find but this year I've had good luck.

Picks 1&2 are a Vineyard Vines silk Maxi dress. There were a lot of doubters out there when I first posted the pic of this without me wearing it. Now I have a properly fitting strapless bra thanks to YLF advisors! What do you think? Should I keep it?

Picture 2&3 is an Elie Tahari sheath. It has some interesting seaming. I think it may need some alteration especially in the chest area. It didn't photograph well. My DH likes this one, but the loose chest bothers me, particularly because it's mostly on one side and I don't think I'm lopsided. I think it's because of the seaming.

Pics 5, 6, & 7 are a Kobi Halperin dress and me playing with toppers. I love the feel of this dress. My DH doesn't like the asymmetry, but I kind of like it. The toppers are a NYDJ tweed jacket which I think may look better with the lighter colored Elie Tahari dress. The patterned jacket is an experiment, but I kind of like it. It's a Caroline Issa for Nordstrom Collection item that I thought could be a fancy substitute for a jean jacket. It's obviously much nicer and it fits like a glove. I need to check out more of these items - although they are budget breakers! Is it too dark for me?

Pics 8&9 are a BCBG Adele wrap dress. I usually wear a camisole underneath them but I was quickly trying things on so I didn't bother. I wondered if the cream colored leather jacket would look good with it?

Picture 10 is the only dress that is already a committed part of my current wardrobe. I purchased and happily wore it for my nephews Bar Mitzvah. It is a heavier weight, and was good for December even though it is sleeveless.

So, what do you think? Four possible dresses and the jackets. Should I keep or return?

Oops, I forgot one of my pink additions. This Ted Baker sheath in the last two pics with my DVF wrap sweater (sweater is not new). The dress may look better if its shortened.

You look STUNNING in pink, Staysfit! First, I love the maxi on you. I had an idea it might really showcase your lovely shoulder line when I saw the previous post, and it doesn't disappoint (to my eye). KEEP! It looks nice and summery with the topper. Makes me think happy beachy thoughts!

On to the 3 fuchsias: this colour adores you! I like dress 2 (pics 3-4) just fine, but the one you already have (10) is pretty similar (vee neckline, sheath). I love the Kobi Halpern. The assymetry makes it special and different--less of a duplication with your existing dress. You could certainly hold onto all 3, but if duplication is an issue, I'd let the Tahari go and keep this one. On toppers, I love the look in pic 6.

The wrap dress is a keeper, too, though I might be more inclined to pair it with a slightly more cropped, less structured topper.

My personal opinions --

Yes to pics 1 & 2.

Yes to pics 3 & 4.

No on 5-6-7. Unless you wear it strictly alone. I don't think the dress lends itself well to layering/jackets because you hide the front, or the front competes with jackets. For this reason I recommend dress shown in 3 and 4, after doing the necessary alteration -- maybe it's a construction flaw. I am a bit asymmetrical but have also noticed unevenness in construction especially on sleeveless tops and dresses. You just don't notice unevenness with sleeves as much.

No on 8 & 9. Nothing wrong with the dress, but I'm stuck on the print which isn't my cup of tea. Just doesn't look modern enough for you. But if you love the dress keep it. I think my personal bias is what's stopping me from loving this dress.

Glad you love the last dress, I love it on you too. And I love the way the belt and shoes match your glasses.

As for jackets / sweaters, not sure if they are K/Rs but I'll opine in any case -
Yes to sweater shown in #2 (and other photos). Looks like a workhorse.

Yes to cream leather moto in #9.

The jackets in 6 and 7 look great on you and like good quality but I'm not loving them with this dress (see prior comment). If they are filling the same purpose in your wardrobe the Caroline Issa stands out more. But the tweed looks very sharp and classic. They look like they'd both be amazing with jeans. Sorry for not really being able to offer advice on these two pieces.

I LOVE #1-2 on you, especially without the jacket as you have very nice upper arms and shoulders. The fit of #3-4 is problematic, I agree. It seems like #5-7 is somewhat of a duplication of 3-4 but it fits beautifully so may be a keeper. I am not at all fond of #8-9... the print just doesn't resonate with me and somehow the length bothers me. I can see why you have been wearing #10 a lot, as it looks like a real wardrobe workhorse. All of this is just my 2 cents, as we Yanks say!

So, I am not sure if the Kobi Halperin and the Eli Tahari would be duplicates? They are different enough, and I love pink enough that I could see myself wearing them both fairly frequently.

The toppers were all originally purchased to wear with jeans, so pairing them with dresses is an experiment. The two I'm most unsure about are the tweed blazer and the block print Caroline Issa Jacket. I may need to post some additional pictures of them with jeans. The grey topper goes with most everything in my closet. The leather jacket is fairly easy to pair with things in my closet, and the other toppers are already wardrobe workhorses.

My faves are #3 and #11 - Killer worn layered and un-layered.

#5 is next, but doesn't work as well layered.

Dresses: 1, 5 and 11 are winners. Please keep!
Jackets: 6 and 7. I love them on you, but maybe with another dress? They hide the drape of the dress and that's a pity, but I still think they are keepers and will go well into your wardrobe.

I like 5, but I agree that it looks best alone and doesn't work as well with jackets. 10 is almost the same and you already have it. The other dresses don't impress me - I think you can do better. I'm not sure which jackets are up for question - I like the tweed one a lot and the gray drapey, but I'm not sure about the lace print one - with that shape and the print, I can only see it working for evening formal.

I don't have enough screen real estate to provide a full comment, but wanted to say that I just love the dress on 11-12, with and without the topper. Is it Ted Baker by any chance?

All the dresses are gorgeous on you but I agree with cocolion that a couple of the solid pink ones would work better with no topper or a light blazer with structure.

3, because you wear solid brights especially well and I much prefer the trimmer styles on you to the more flowy ones. I like 5 and alone it's like you're all dressed, nothing to add but shoes, but it does seem like a challenge to put anything over it.
11 has that same streamlined look, the scale of the print works for you and again I like the practicality and ease of it, it doesn't need much in the way of accessories.
It is nice to have variety and maybe 8 would be an easy dress to wear between the print and the wrap but it's not as flattering as the others.

I like both of those new jackets.

For the fuschia dresses, they both look good, but the one with the ruching in the front is probably not to be worn with a topper.

Love the Ted Baker sheath, and it's fab with the wrap cardi. I like the tweed blazer with the TH dress because the jacket's more fitted profile, looser weave fabric and angled front seem to work with the drape and ruching of the dress. But I'm focusing too much on one picture -- I agree with others that the waist detail may not work as well IRL. I really like the jacket in pic 7 but not sure about its length and weight with these dresses.

I can see why you like this colour. It suits you. My favourite is 11/12, closely followed by 10. I like all the dresses on you other than the wrap dress in 8/9. It is by no means bad, just average compared to the others. The colour does not seem as vibrant as the others. I like the jackets but not with the dress so much. The tweed jacket is great. The blue jacket I would like to see with jeans.

Weighing in again since you added a dress. I still like 1, suggest you add coordinating lipstick and long, dangly earrings. And I think I like 11 (the floral dress) but without the topper. And maybe those cute strappy silver heels. You have a great figure and your dress 10 looks fabulous with your coloring. I think you can take strong colors but need to balance them with bolder accessories such as earrings and shoes. And lipstick. What great choices you have made, good luck deciding between them all!

No to dress in 1/2. The secondary color clashes with your hair IMO.

Oh my, the Ted Baker looks amazing on you. In my dreams I fit into one of his midi sheath dresses. (My current obsession is the floral in finds.) I also really like the dress in 5, but I think you need a different type of topper or none at all. You look really great in all the dresses though. Are you shopping for a special occasion or just stocking your dress capsule?

That Ted Baker is so pretty. The one I tried on recently just made me laugh it fit so poorly. Clearly he designs for someone much more long-waisted than I am!

I would not shorten #11. It's perfect just the way it is.

Truthfully, I like all the dresses and think you wear all of them well. This is your color for sure.

my favorites are #10 which you own and the Ted Baker dress (which looks great with the pink wrap sweater).

I also like the shape and fit of #5 on you but agree with others that I'm not sure about wearing it with a topper. For me it would be too close a duplication of 10.

#3 is also too much a duplicate and looks like it's not as good a fit as the other 2 fuschia dresses.

#1. I think the print is overwhelming a bit but mostly I think the color within the medallions doesn't work as well with your hair and skin tones.

I also think the overall color of the print and background of the wrap dress is too sallow/yellowed for what seems to work best for you.

Denise, a bit of both. I have a couple special occasions - my DD's college graduation, and my DS's high school graduation among them It's a major event year for the Staysfit family! Both our kids graduate and we become empty nesters!

Every year I also attend graduation for the residents that have worked with me and I also attend college graduation events with my DH who is a prof. We go to summer theatre and opera productions and I wear dresses. I also wear dresses to work 2-3 days a week in the summer.

Yes to 1/2! You are petite, and yet you carry that pattern beautifully.

No to 3/4. It's just a 'meh' kind of dress to me, even though the color is beautiful.

5/6/7 I would say yes, but I think the dress you have in photo 10 far outstrips it for fabness.

8/9 I vote no. It just doesn't seem 'you', and the print is somehow mediocre to my eye.

10 LOVE this on you. The neckline frames your face beautifully and the color makes your complexion glow and your hair color shine

11/12 LOVE this for you too! I would keep it at its current length, because it adds a sort of retro bombshell note, without being overt or obvious. (This is purely my preference, it would look great a little shorter too).

I am a fan of 11; I think it's stunning just as it is and could also be worn with a soft topper as in 12 (I'm not sure about the shoes, though -- I think it could use something more glamorous.) I also like 5 quite a lot, but not so much the toppers. Maybe a shrug or something more cropped? My favourite would be just as it is.

I like the maxidress more in theory than in practice. Love the topper in 2. I would say go with the maxidress if you love it, but I do agree that the print is a bit in-your-face (which you might like) and the pale gold is not your best colour. The wrap dress is very pretty and all, but doesn't seem to fit in with your other choices. Unless you have fallen in love with it, I would send it back.

You do look fantastic in those shades of pink!

#11/12 is a winner! The maxi is very pretty, but seems to overwhelm you to my eye. I'm kind of neutral on the others. Gorgeous shades of pink you're showing us!

Picking dresses can be very confusing for me. I asked my DH his opinion and he said he likes dress 1/2, the wrap (8/9), and dress 11/12. He says they are the most "feminine".

I have some thinking to do!

The maxi really shows off your wonderful shoulders. It looks like your version of boho. Would you wear it for lobster supper at the shore, Shakespeare in the park (you can be Titania) or is the silk too finicky? If dh likes it and your lifestyle provides the occasions to wear it, I say go for it. It isn't trendy so it won't date itself.

The bright pink sheath you already own is stunning. The other 2 can't really compete; the fit is not as good and layering doesn't seem to work. I think you would just split wears, unless you love this colour so much that you'd be wearing it twice in a week, and might get laundry bottlenecks. (Says she who owns about 14 black pants that probably only I can tell apart.)

I really like the wrap dress on you. Perhaps I'm living vicariously through you, because I don't have the chestage to make one work and yet look at you. It really doesn't work with a topper though.

The floral dress is The Best. I love it alone AND with the ballet cardigan, which creates a completely different outfit (I thought it was a skirt at first).

11/12 is my favorite of these on you. The softness of the floral print suits you and the length looks perfect to my eye. I also like 10 on you because the fit is wonderful. As for the toppers I like the NYDJ tweed best and think it would look lovely with denim.
