Pink is my Happy Color

But I realized today that I have to be more selective on what colors of pink I bring home. I have pinks in a broad spectrum of colors. I think I am going to define two shades of pink (maybe three) and confine myself to buying within a plan. Otherwise I'll have lots of things that don't coordinate well.

Pink is my happy color too! A question to chew on...do your pinks really need to coordinate? Do you wear multiple pink items at the same time? If you're mixing them with neutrals I would think you could have as many shades as you want. Do what you have to do to make your closet happy, I just find that every time I limit myself to a specific shade I have a heck of a time actually finding that shade!

There are warm pinks that lean toward coral or peach and cool bluish pinks that are more of a fushia or nearly lavendar. (I have to limit myself to the warm, clear ones). Are you thinking of light, medium and dark pink shades for your three?

Shocking pink is my happy colour too. I love blush, but it doesn't make me as happy as shocking pink

Pink is one of my happy colors, and I limit my selections to certain shades. Like Meredith says, rigidly sticking with a specific color can limit the range of garments available. I have very few pink items in my chosen shades, but they are among my favorite wardrobe pieces. I have done the same with greens, another happy color in my wardrobe.

These are the shades I am considering. I am always open to changing this though. It is merely a starting point to acknowledge I have to rein in some of my pink purchases.

Sterling -- that pink purse just hit me like a ton of bricks! It's wonderful. I've been "off" pink for a long time because it skews so sweet on me but that purse is calling my name

Pink is my happy color too! Pale Pink and Shocking Pink. I recently purchased the Rhodes blazer at JCrew in the bright pink and can't wait to wear her. I recall many, many years ago when pink was quite in fashion and I had many, many items that brought me happiness when I wore them. As a matter of fact this fall MANY of my favorite colors are back once again! Burgundy, grey, olive green and pink!! Yipee

Purple is my happy color, but I have a few warm pink tops in my closet. One is a light blush color, and the other is a medium pink with white print.

Purples and blues are my happiest colors, but pinks can probably hold the third place. I don't limit myself to a couple of shades only because I rarely wear multiple pink items at once (though I plan to experiment with blush-out outfits this fall). However, I do care about how warm or cool the shade of pink is, as a Cool Summer warm varieties of pink do not look good at me all. Thus I wear any shade of cool pink I like

Good idea! I personally love pink and purples too, but definitely only certain shades. It's easy for me to stick with the ones that work together. I have a much harder time with greens. I've become a big fan of green in the last few years, but I think it's a difficult color.

Green is an interesting color. My interior decorations incorporate a lot of green because I find it so soothing. I don't wear green because I rarely find the greens I wear best in the stores. So eventually I just stopped shopping for it all together.

I do love green and pink together.

I think green is so difficult for me when it comes to clothing because I wear a lot of greens quite well. Both sea greens and blue greens and more yellow greens like sage or forest green. In my eye some of them don't go together.

I can wear almost every shade of green or blue green as long as they are light in intensity. However, I think it's hard for me to pair pink and green together unless it's subtlety done in a print. The color contrast is too high.

My favorite pinks: Watermelon red, Fuschia, rose, pink coral, shell pink, ballerina pink, light cool pink, rosewood, to name a few...

I love pink too! Shocking pink is my fave, like Angie's but I also like pale pink. Not blush so much, or warmer tones or anything greyed. That's how I limit it.

I like shocking pink, too, and used to wear it quite often. I've steered away from it the last few years, thinking maybe I'm getting too old to wear it. But seeing all of it in the new fall fashions has me reconsidering...
