Angie's post on pale pink coats made me sit up - because THAT is so ME!!

Angie posted a gorgeous coat by Kate Spade (currently on sale too) but it cannot be shipped outside the US... with it not being available to me I rationalised that it was not meant to be.

I found a coat, my pale blue winter cropped coat and love it - it is a practical style and great colour. However, the ONLY coat I have ever worn out (ripped the lining from wearing it soooooo much) was a pink woollen coat. I hated saying goodbye, because it was a complete workhorse, so much more than any more "practical" colours.

As I live in Australia, I have been quite saddened to see the loss of much of Australian fashion design and even more Australian manufacturing. I like to buy local (food etc) because I like to think that I am helping create jobs and ensure that local skills are not declining. Australian workers are treated well, I hate the idea that I may be contributing to exploitation of workers overseas.

So I always keep an eye out on the few remaining Australian designers. One of my favourites is a label Moss & Spy which specialises in occasion wear - but also creates a very small collection of more wearable everyday items.

Looking at the pre-fall Moss and Spy collection I found this pink coat. I think this may be "the one" - what do you think??
