Just went and got my ears pierced! Had to share. Growing up my family did not wear jewelry. As an adult I've decided that I will wear jewelry and have been slowly introducing it into my style. I've been thinking about getting my ears pierced for a while now, so today was the day! Yesterday I spent at a Korean spa with my sister and mom, and wanted to get that done because I can't submerge my ears in a pool until they are healed. I got little gold balls (titanium posts). Hurts, but not too bad. I am nervous about getting an infection! I went to a professional piercer (http://www.safepiercing.org/) at a local tattoo and piercing shop. I highly recommend this route if anyone is thinking of doing any piercing (or for your kid). It's much, much safer than the mall! They are so careful and know exactly what they are doing.
