Pictures of me in two NAS-purchased tunics...

So, I have pictures for you of me in the Halogen asymmetrical tunic and the Karen Kane handkerchief hem top... maybe...

These highly experimental pictures come to you courtesy of my partner Scott and my IPhone. Crucial detail: Scott can't see very much. The screen reder (software that reads the screen aloud) on the phone gave him some info about camera placement, and that, plus knowing where I was standing and how tall I am were pretty much his only guides.

So...I don't know what you'll see. I don't know if it'll be useful, but here, have some pictures!

Hi Robin. The pictures are a bit blurry to see details. The cobalt color seems very nice on you.

Hi Robin & Scott! The first tunic looks like a really nice fit - flattering, skimming, and neither too loose nor too tight. I can see it best on you in picture 4. I like the scoop neckline on you too. On the second tunic (the pretty blue one), I love the longer length and the asymmetrical hem - this would also be great to wear with long leggings or skinny jeans when the weather gets cooler. Both tunics would also be great with necklaces - either short necklaces that end above the tunic's neckline, or longer necklaces that fall below the neckline. Keep rocking your style, Robin! You look great in these pieces.

# 3 and #6 are the least blurry. I love the cobalt on you.

Thanks all for your feedback, and for being patient with our little experiment.

I know the Halogen tunic (the blue top) is supposed to be fluid in fit. I'm less comfortable judging whether fluid fits are flattering on me, or just, sort of, slouchy. I'm used to either having a more tailored fit, or wearing oversized sweat shirts, which is a different look altogether, at least to me.

Can you get a sense for how this looks around my shoulders and chest?

The experimental photos are successful in showing the two tunics and how they look on you. I like both of them, and like Jeweled, I especially like the shape of the neckline on the black tunic.

Scott successfully captured you in your new tunics. Tell him thanks for playing along. Love the color of the blue one along with the angled hemline. As others have noted, the black one's neckline is especially flattering on you. Both tops are keepers in my opinion and will be really versatile.

The KK top looks great. The neckline is very flattering on you. The sleeves are long - almost looking full-length. Might be worth it to have them shortened a couple of inches. How's the fabric? Is it stretchy? When I have sleeves that are too long, with the right fabric, I just scrunch them to a flattering length.

The cobalt Halogen tunic is gorgeous with your colouring. I think the fit is nicely fluid without being too slouchy or messy.

I think they're both keep!

Robin, this is awesomeness incarnate! Thanks to you and Scott for doing this. The wonders of technology.

Some of the pics are a wee bit blurry but we do get to see the fit and proportions and that is the main thing.

I actually love both of these items on you (the blue and black tunic). The black one has a lovely fit and the scoop neck is super flattering. The cobalt colour is delicious on you and I love the longer length; this would be excellent with skinnies or leggings tucked into boots, as others have said. I think you should definitely keep both of these, and you should also pat yourself on the back for an incredibly successful first NAS!!!

Do you know how tricky it is to shop this sale? I'm five years on YLF and still learning the ropes...I think my success rate is about the same as yours on your very first year.

They both look great! I think the asymmetrical hem on the Halogen keeps it all the way out of slouchy sweatshirt territory, and the color is fantastic on you. The black one is super flattering as well. You look great and I think you will enjoy them...I vote keep both!
