Here are a few pics of the tuxedo pants.
1 with high-low silk shirt; 2 -3 with longish knit top. 4 with white top, which is actually fluid but not enough IMO for these pants
I'm not very comfortable with the tucked look.
I am awaiting a size up in case more fluid than hippy fit is better, but one concern is the fit may "sag" anyway--could be the fabrication.
These are shown at actual length, with a loafer.
So, 2 main issues--1) I like the change of pace from classic trousers, but it pushes my comfort zone to wear the sllm cut through the hips--and may be too tight in this size, or I look mutton-y or something.
Anna's post on Practicality was of interest because I think suitable Tops are harder than I thought, for proportions, so I might end up wearing just one or 2 ways (did not photo my black tops, doh!) because at work I would not do anything casual like semi-tucking a sweatshirt.
2) The length I like for these would be the longest length that is acceptable--so sort of scrunched onto a flat, but that may be about 1/2" or so less than current length. If I wear these, I would treat them more more like track-y pants than cropped.
