Unfrumped, the US Navy SEALs did give it the thumbs up style wise, but the Commander In Chief said no.

Thanks for so many encouraging comments!
As if I were not needy enough for occasion-dressing, I have added to original post some other options for topper-- a satin wrap and a sparkle jacket,, depending on how chilly the day goes. and an optional thin bracelet that is hard to see.
Any comments welcome, and thank you if you are doing double-duty!

That's a great jumpsuit. So elegant and slightly different than the usual cocktail dress for your event. I think the current hem length will look fine for now.

I don't think the bracelet is too much at all! I like the black jacket the most with it, and probably the best temperature-wise. While the leopard is fun, its probably way too hot based on the few ive tried!

Suntiger thanks for looking at the new jacket and jewelry pics. I don’t really want an outside wrap plus an different inside one, so jacket could deal with outside plus be used indoors if I’m just freezing. I do love how wraps can look elegant/ fancy ball when “ posing” in the perfect stance, but something is lost in translation when carrying wine glass, mixing and mingling.

The black sparkly jacket looks great! And sounds the most versatile for those temps. I like the bracelet too.

La Pedestrienne, thanks! The jumpsuit sleeves aren’t really the best to fit under usual jackets, so I was surprised that this was tolerable- probably the raglan sleeve just slides up a little.

super late to this post, but WOW! this looks great. YLF

Thanks, kkards
So far the black sparkle jacket may be most practical.

This may be too late but this is stunning on you. I like it as is with the pumps. All your toppers look good but the sparkle jacket is my favorite for this event.
Bathroom. Wear a black tee or tank underneath so that you won t be quite so cold when stripped down to your bra.. Watch that nothing ( like the top part) dangles in the loo. It may take more time than normal to get everything back in place. Legs may drag on the floor, so look to see that floor is clean..

Joy, thanks, spot on advice!

I wore the jacket to and fro and did not need it indoors. I had a lot of fun, felt very relaxed and “me” in the outfit and got compliments!
The jumpsuit has a hook& eye above the back zipper that is very hard for me to fasten because the “eye” is pretty set in. So I decided I was not going to be able to fool with it and would leave it undone for this event . Fortunately it seems inconspicuous and the zip goes up to top of neckline so I think that it was ok.

I’m late to this, but am glad you wore what you did and felt yourself in it. That is always so great. If you get it hemmed to wear shoes with an ankle strap, make sure the hem is far enough away from any buckles, etc that the two won’t tangle with each other.
