Here they are. They arrived just in time for the next storms: a roller coaster of snow, sleet and rain over the next 2 days.
The boots are a definite win. They fit perfectly and I know will go above and beyond when it comes to keeping my feet warm, dry and comfy.
I like the coat too. It is a little large through the waist and hips, but fits well across my shoulders and chest. I can raise and cross my arms with ease. I have room for a blazer or heavy sweater underneath. The coat has a two way zipper and a nice high collar. The inner cuff of the sleeves is snug, but not tight. The pockets are fleece lined and nice and deep. The coat is lightweight and packable. The hood is HUGE! It is oversized, so there is plenty of room for a hat and it will shield my face when the elements are harsh. When up it will block my peripheral view, so I will need to be aware of my surroundings.
The true test will be how the coat handles the weather. We will see.
IF the coat meets all of my criteria I will consider getting it in cream. Question though...... does the coat look too big? I am not going to size down with this black one, because for ease of movement with my dogs, DGS and outdoor activities I appreciate the fit. If I choose a cream coat, is this the one? Should I look for something with a slimmer fit?
