Picasso Challenge #2: Woman with a Book

Right o' - rustled the ol' self up

Nobody scream in dismay, but I associate Picasso with Highlights magazine and pea green shag carpeting and bakelite. Which is why I got out my plastic funky Target necklace (and it provides a bit of orange).

I'm realising I could have done green patterned pants and a blue top.

Oh, how inspired! I do love the necklace. Wish I had thought of that. I almost added beads to my outfit and then didn't, but I wasn't consciously thinking of "beads in painting," just the color and femininity. Anyway, I love your blouse and shoes with those denim trousers.

Oh! Love the necklace! When I was putting my outfit together, I hunted through my DD's room to see if she left anything good behind. No luck, but she has a particular necklace I was hoping for, fairly juvenile looking - maybe a mix between Highlights and Miss Frizzle.

Great necklace. And Highlights magazine, I totally get it. I think your face says what the woman in the painting would say if she was doing the talking instead of Picasso. Or maybe not, but I still love it.

Even though it is colorful, this seems a rather minimal look for you. I am enjoying it's simplicity. I wonder if you draped the necklace like that to highlight the woman's immodesty?

Hehe. No, that was the result of having no control over the necklace. But I did try to come up with something for the whole bustier thing. However, apparently, I'm a puritan, lol. Just nothing of the sort in my closet.
