Phone cases

Aquamarine

I recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 11 Pro. I put on a basic Otterbox but am thinking I’d like something more fashionable. My last case was an Incipio, which I really liked because it was grippy and I felt less likely to drop the phone (big hand cream user here!). But the styles are pretty boring.

What do you use as a case? Is there a combination of good looking/fun/fashionable and protective?

I use the the Loopy case . I really like it . The customer service was excellent . The loop folds pretty flat so the phone will fit into my jean pocket unlike the pop socket. However I'm not sure that it would be as protective as the Otterbox, in addition to the case I have a glass screen protector.

I create custom cases with my art photographs on them for myself and for clients. I use getuncommon.com and the cases have held up beautifully even though I am guilty of dropping my phone often. You can see my current case in some of my mirror selfies and WIWs. They’re unique and great conversation-starters.

i'm always dropping my phone, so i do have a protective case, but i like the slick ness of the iphone design so i got the thinnest clearest one i could find.

Casetify has the best designs, many of which are repeated in their apple watch band collection too. $$ but really nice. I recently bought a Kate Spade case with a metal ring on the back (to use instead of a pop socket) ,and I LOVE it.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. After trial and error, I only ever use the Apple silicone cases because they grip the best, are the most robust, clean well, and look extremely modern and chic to my eye. I have had orange, lime, yellow, and now have white. I've tried other cases but they don't tick off the boxes, or last.

My phone is four years old, but at the time the guy at the Apple store recommended Tech 21 which I bought there. The case is not sticky, but definitely not slippery. And I’ve always liked the look of it.

I have the totally clear version of the Tech21 case Jaileen mentioned. I’ve used Tech21 cases for years and love them. The protection is amazing for how thin and unobtrusive they are. I’ve dropped mine multiple times and it’s totally fine. I do also have one of the ultra thin adhesive glass plates on the front, just in case.

I’ve always found the bulkier cases make my phone too big for my smallish hands to hold, which actually makes it much more likely I’ll drop it. I have a red iPhone and I love the color, which is why I only put clear cases on it.

ETA: if you happen to like liberty prints, they have a collab with Tech21 right now. I’d totally get one (some are partially clear too, so id still get my red) except they don’t make them for iPhone 8, boo.

UmmLila, Casetify has been popping up on my FB feed since I started searching for cases. They have so many choices...good to hear they are protective, too.

kkards, Another brand I hadn’t heard of. Slickness is appealing...this phone is already bigger than my old one so the case I have adds too much bulk.

Angie, I know, tempted to go with the Apple ones just for the grippiness.

JAileen and Diana, I’ve never heard of Tech21. Agree with you, Diana..my hands have been aching with this new phone and it’s bigger profile plus bulky casing. Will have to check it out!

Another vote for Tech21. I drop my phone a lot and it works. I use a basic black with a screen cover that has slots for cards. It’s replaced my wallet. I insist on a screen cover now after my 6+ started ghost texting.
