P.F. Flyers, Run faster , Jump higher

My question is do you "P.F. Fly High" or do you prefer too "Converse" your way through. While it seems that a large majority find Converse easy to wear this is not the case for my fussy feet. I have a high happiness factor when it comes to my P.F. Flyers. They provide room for my wide feet, comfort when it comes to cushioning and a stylish alternative to the thinly supported Converse. Over to you.....

I have no experience with P.F. Flyers, so I can't really compare. I still absolutely love the look of low and high-top Converse sneakers, they are a classic to me. Sadly, due to back problems, I can no longer walk very far in them (all completely flat shoes can be problematic for me). That's why I'm so happy with my white Hi-Ness Converse with the small wedge heel. Much more comfy for me right now, and I can still sport the Converse look.

I've also never tried P.F. Flyers. I wore Converse a lot in my teens, but don't have a pair right now. I always liked them and my feet were happy.

Inge, I definitely understand I think P.F.Flyers and Converse came out about he same time.

Astrid, I wore converse as a teen also as I got older and my feet started to grow and grow and grow I found that I my feet could not stand the converse.

Comfort factor and high happiness factor are crucial when it comes to footwear in my book too, Ladywone, so hurrah for P.F. Flyers for providing you with both!-)

My fussy feet can't take converse either, I find the sole too heavy & hard. My PF flyers fared way better. But now I find I need the easySpirit to walk longer...

I associate PF Flyers with my kiddie years! I have Converse and love the look but they are not so kind to my feet, so I wear them pretty rarely.

I wear Converse - they're ubiquitous. I didn't realise PFs were so comfy. I will give them a try.

Yes, ladies thanks for the responses. I find P.F. Flyers to be just as stylish as Converse. My Converse were also sitting in my closet because they were to narrow and did support my feet. I was thrifting one day and found a pair of brand new P. F. with tags still on. For $15 they were mine I never looked back. I now have 7 or 8 pair. I call the Converse my teen years and PF Flyers my grown years.

I love the wider width and removable insoles of my red high-top PF Flyers. I am not so thrilled that the back counter(?) is not stiff. Sadly, I can't wear these barely worn shoes since the sole is highly flexible and I need a very stiff sole for my arthritic right foot. I really need to purge them.

These babies are 6.5 or 7 and plenty wide for a 6.5W foot. I've been meaning to put them on the Style Exchange.

I've never tried either. (Is that sacrilege?) A few years ago the brand Kangaroo came back, remember those - the ones with the little pocket on the side? I bought a pair and should have gotten a couple more - they were the comfiest sneakers I've ever had. The brand is still around but I haven't seen that particular style again.

I have worn Converse, but they do tend to be narrow for my wider feet. I may have to look into PF Flyers.

DonnaF, I have a pair of red high tops I love them they are my favorite. If you remove the inner sole you will find a tiny positive message from the maker. I am sorry ou don't get to enjoy them the way you used to.

Laura this is not sacrilege, the good news is that we as humans have choices and individual preferences.

Echo, I encourage you to give P.F. Flyers a try. You will never look back.

Converse jack purcells-- look like a mix between the PFs and All Stars, but come with a thick (like a running shoe) cushy insole with arch support that is also removable and not glued in.

I love my Converse. But last year tried a pair of Supergas and fell in love with them, they are so comfortable I can wear them all day. I actually bought them on vacation and wore them straight for a week, and I think they're cute, just in a different way than cons. I've never seen pf flyers here.
