If you are looking for a red (or black) velvet blazer in a very classic, fitted, shorter style, you might take a look at this one. WHBM jackets almost always fit me really well, and this one fits perfectly. I'm surprised at how much I like the red color, maybe it's this particular red that does it. It's very well made, with buttons that are sort of dark pewter - more black than silver.

Longer jackets may be more on trend right now but I find they usually don't fit me very well or don't look proportionally good so I always end up back at this shorter length

I will post some outfit experiments later in the week. I'm still pondering whether to keep it, but the fit is great and the classic style will give it good longevity.
