I am feeling a little adventurous/silly and am considering a velvet jumpsuit for the holidays. Have you seen one that might work for a short hourglass/Apple?
No suggestions, but you sound very similar body-wise to me! If you find one, post pics, I'd be very interested to see them.
I've been pondering casual jumpsuits (nowhere to wear dressy ones) on and off for a while, but as a 5ft hourglass-with-tummy I've always thought they wouldn't look good on me!
After a long search, I found a petite jumpsuit at Macy's this Spring, though not velvet. Did not even need any hemming. Quality wasn't that great but I enjoyed the trend and wore it a lot to work and for a family reunion event this summer.
Trick for me was finding one with a long enough rise as so many of the petite offerings were too short in the rise. There were a few from Anthro that were really nice and nearly fit but not quite, so I'd give Anthro a try too.
I have been very happy with this one from Nordstrom - not velvet, but crepe with satin stripe, so very festive. and not black! My first jumpsuit in 30 years and I love it.
I'm an apple and have been eyeing this one but alas it's no longer available in my size. The wrap style seems like it might add waist definition, and there's some fun stuff going on in the sleeves to make it a little different. But the crop might not be for everyone.
Please don't laugh, but the other day a velvet jumpsuit from the girls' section at Old Navy caught my eye, mostly because of the dusty rose color... I am petite so I sometimes shop in their kid's section for clothes. It doesn't always work depending on how items are constructed, but sometimes it does.
