Petite hangers

I am one of those with mismatched hangers in my closet, not by choice but by necessity. I have knits and some silk shirts that need the narrower shoulders that often the flimsy plastic store hangers have. Well, I hate these hangers but I hate shoulder bumps more! I'm thinking of getting some petite hangers that are 14" - sounds perfect. But $15 for 3 is not so perfect. Anyone have other recommendations that might be more affordable? Some petites have successfully used kids sized hangers:

I have kids hangers at home and I have tried them for a few things. i find that they are too small for most of my clothes and are more of a pain than they're worth for me. I am not a really tiny petite though. I think these would work better for people who are a true size 0 or 00.

For some reason that page won't load for me Rita. But thanks. I see that the petite hangers are 14" shoulders. I wonder what the kid size are? I did find another place with petite wooden hangers at $60 for 100 of them - but they were a bit bigger at 15 1/2" http://www.clotheshangers.com/.....s-4263.htm . Standard plastic tubular ones are 17" and the flimsy ones I'm making do with are about 15" or 16" depending.

The kids ones are 11.75", they are very small!

AHA!! Juniors hangers are 14" and affordable. But they are ugly! Sigh. I'm getting closer

I have some kid's hangers and I hate them. Almost nothing stays on. Admittedly I do not wear turtleneck or crew neck tops in general, so most of my tops have pretty large neck holes.

There are portions of my closets where regular adult size hangers just won't fit, hence why I have the kid's hangers. I wonder if petite hangers will fit though - must remember to measure when I get home!

I did measure just now lol. And it seems 14" might be a tad on the small side, but way better than the standard 17". Seems 15 1/2" might be the sweet spot for me afterall - that is what the nicest wood set I've found so far measures

In case anyone else is looking, I did find some 15" shirt hangers with large shoulders to eliminate the 'bumps' in tops. Not too pricey, but not too pretty either. http://www.onlyhangers.com/Pro.....Hanger.htm

I just love these petite hangers at Only Hangers. And yes the 15" size is perfect. The 14" are for juniors and the 12" are for kids both of which are too small. 15" is just right!
