Permission to buy tall boots requested

If I already own

Black heeled 3/4 calf length boots
Brown heeled tall boots
Cognac flat tall boots
Dark green flat tall boots
Black flat ankle boots
Red flat ankle boots
Lilac heeled ankle boots

Is there a place for a black flat tall boot in my wardrobe? I've been using the green boots and the other black boots to cover for the gap.

The ones I've been stalking online are almost sold out and I'm afraid if I don't get them now, I'll never find another pair that fits my calves and ankles again. They also come in a red, but I'm trying to ignore that.

Or should I pass on them (since I have two other awesome pairs of shoes arriving soon) and wait till next winter?

Yes, you should definitely get them, IF they are a perfect basic, meaning that they are foundational pieces that you know you'll have for years. Otherwise, wait until next fall and see what strikes your fancy then!

Another YES from me! Black flat tall boots are a staple if you wear any black in cool, wet weather. If they are your perfect pair and you have tall-boot weather you'll get plenty of use out of them!

I fail to see the problem here. Am I correct in assuming the topic is tall black boots?

Since when does any woman need permission, of all things, to buy tall black boots. Money, yes, but never permission. Asking permission insinuates that they are merely wanted, not needed. But, on the other hand, when it come to tall boots, especially black ones, aren't want and need the same thing?

So, in conclusion, you must simply buy them, because you are a woman, and they are tall black boots, and that's just how it is.

Get a grip girl. If you are caught asking permission again, your membership in the sisterhood will have to be reviewed.

Too much of a staple to pass up if you've been stalking a while and are hard to fit generally. I find it's easier to pass up things that I know *can* be found again in a fit I like, but it's better to build a little room in your budget for sudden lucky finds in the hard-to-fit/find category.

Looks like the vote is unanimous, although I suppose I should have expected it with this boot loving crowd. Thank you for enabling me, even though my shoe collection is just getting the tiniest bit out of control. I have wished for a pair of tall black flat boots multiple times to complete an outfit, so these can be justified.

The last pair in my size has been ordered (the chain strap comes off and then they just look like a basic pair of riding boots).

PS. Julie - you and Rae can come visit anytime. But I'm going to lock up my boot stash unless I verify that you don't wear the same shoe size.
