That's almost how my hair looked when I woke up on Sunday. Perfect magazine worthy bedhead, and then I went for a walk in the mist and it went woosh deflating like a sad party balloon.

It's ironic how perfect bedhead -- a look which broadcasts, 'I just look this awesome without even trying' -- is in fact one of the hardest styles to achieve.

@Modgrl - LOL! Too true.

I think the trick is in the layering - it looks like this model had a modified "shag" cut, with long razor-edged layers around the front, and thick sideswept bangs cut in. Then the stylist probably used texturizing creme to give it the "messy" look.

Hilarious that one can look chic with the "just woken up" look! But yes, it does look cool.

She's beautiful, I can see why you like this look! I think the deliberate make-up keeps the look from coming across as messy. Back in the 80's, when the messy hair look was in the last time, I remember needing extra make-up to pull it off. It's that juxtaposition thing coming into play again.

Mary, so funny! My hair looks like a perfect little bob when I wake up, and I have to abuse it to get it to look more RATE. We all want what we can't have!
