Last year I couldn't find much I really liked. But right at this moment, thanks to either new styles or newly opened YLF eyes, I can't seem to find anything I don't like. I am in total stock-up mode, but it is a little overwhelming to love EVERYTHING out there!

Missoni! Jewel tones! Leather! Layering! The only thing I haven't liked is the varsity jacket trend.

Anyone else having this problem?

How's your closet purging going? You need to make space for your new acquisitions.

Oh, it's being purged daily - for example, the pants I tried to wear yesterday are out. I'm trying the "hanger-turning" and anything I wear and don't love does not enter the closet again.

I also feel better about letting go of my REAL Missoni sweater-coat now...

Yeah, if I hadn't self imposed a budget this year, I'd be in big trouble. Hmm, I guess if I were single and not worried about running up a credit card bill that would take 20 years to pay off I might be very well dressed. As it stands, the BF who works in finance keeps me from running off the rails (in a good way!).

I am with you, Una. I was doing SYC last fall, so this fall I have been going a bit nuts. At some point I do have to put the brakes on, but it has been a fun ride :).

I'm excited for you that you're finding so much to love now! I guess I would just worry about buying too much stuff in a really recognizable pattern or style. Your tastes may change and you may tire of it in a year.... I am finding that some things I bought early in my style overhaul aren't working for me any more, even though it wasn't that long ago.

I'm on team drown but curiously it makes me shop left because with so much good offer I want to take my time to choose the perfect items.

I'll join you on Team Drown. Oh my. I was starting from scratch again this fall in terms of clothing. I can't believe how much I've bought. I think I now have a small functional wardrobe, with just a few holes that can be filled as I find the right thing. There is so much to like this season so far! And this weekend it may even be cool enough here to wear some of my new fall items - YAY!!!

AG - Scarlet just posted the same *problem* last week. I felt that way in the spring. I am definitely not feeling that way now. There are almost no jewel tones in the stores here.
I completely agree with Lynne on this.

I recently found a gorgeous buttery soft Michael Kors leather moto jacket and jewel tone cashmere sweaters at TJM .

Actually, despite all the lovely merchandise out there, I'm not feeling the need to shop much right now since I basically spend the last six months overhauling my wardrobe and buying like a crazy woman!

Whew...I'm exhausted. I can't believe I'm saying this but my shopping desire has tapered off to a trickle! I may be missing great stuff, but I'm ok with that.

Nancylee, I'm in a similar boat. I do love all that I'm seeing, and I'm shopping some, but not at a breakneck pace by any means. I keep remembering I have plenty of fall items I've accumulated over the last year, that I haven't been able to wear yet. The rest is just gravy
(But I do have to keep remembering this! The desire is still there. Oh and that pesky budget helps too.)

Me too. I am excited by so much of what I'm seeing for this fall, much more so than I was last Spring. It helps that fall is basically our predominant, almost year-round season (at least as far as temperature and precipitation go) in Seattle.

I'm right there with you. I've been rebuilding my wardrobe since April and I still have so far to go. I'm maxing, or over-maxing, my budget every month. No credit cards, though.
