peplum

rute

I have been looking for a peplum for ages but all the one I've tried seem strange on me.. what do you think of this one?
Does it looks good or my instint is right and I should give up on peplums?

OT: notice my big arms Crossfit is paying off!

I'm not sure you should give up altogether. Very pretty color here. I think I'd prefer a more tailored looking peplum - this fabric looks like it's bit loose and flowy at the bottom. I am not really qualified to say but I feel like the peplum on this starts up too high too. Like maybe there should only be about 6 inches of it and instead there is more like 10 -12 inches?

ETA - Oh yes and the crossfit IS def. paying off - great work!

Gorgeous color! How would you wear this top? like in this pictie, or else?

I feel like the peplum all around your lower waist is a bit too much, sorry, but it looks rather a ruffle, or a ra-ra skirt to my eyes

I think a peplum which come only to the back, or partially to the 2 sides, or so is more grown up and I would really preffer the fabric there in the peplum would be 1 layer only, here looks like beeing folded under and this is too stiff-but take all what I said with a grain of salt, as my eyes are not really trained to the newest peplum look...so don't really know..:-(

Mmm. I think you should keep looking. This one, the peplum has a lot of material and has the feel of a skirt. I think a peplum ought to be just a little bit of flare. It shouldn't drape down so much.

I agree with the others about the peplum - the color is great but you can do better cut-wise.

I am clueless about peplums! Sorry no advice but you do look gorgeous and fit, always love seeing your smiling face. (And I love the pants on you, are you keeping those?)

Cocolion, I'm thinking of buying those cobalt blue jeans, yes! I had a pair but my daughter "stolen it" and these fit lovely, medium rise and the hem is perfect (which is strange as I'm petite)!

I'll forget the peplum... but I'll continue to look for the perfect one!

No, don't give up. You need to try the ones that are cut on the bias so the peplum is formed by how the fabric was cut, not by simply gathering a straight piece of fabric, so the waistline is more subtle. I saw some at H&M a bit ago.
You totally can pull this off.
ETA: little zap has one. I'll take a picture and will post in a bit.

Don't give up! I think one sitting at the natural waist with structure that is shorter would look good.
