I often have to wait 15 or 20 minutes at a large bus station, and I enjoy people watching. Some months ago, I began to look for people who were NOT wearing neither black items, nor denim, nor sneakers. They were - and are - very, very few,

There's nothing wrong with wearing black, denim or sneakers. And I myself do it often. However, I do find it interesting that in an era that praises "individual style", most of us are actually wearing much of the same stuff. - Well, of course, black, denim and sneakers can be - and ARE - worn in many different ways. And that's also interesting to watch! But still, it has surprised me to see that few people choose to dress in other ways.

I have started to COMMEND (if at all possible, that means, if they are not in a desperate hurry to reach a bus) these few others for their individual style. They seem to appreciate it, and many others around us smilingly agree. (Kind comments and warm smiles always make a good atmosphere at the bus station. )

Have you made the same kind of observations at public places? And, by the way, what are YOU wearing right now? Any black and/or denim items and/or sneakers?
